Plus The Complete Mike Douglas Show of March, 1966 starring GENE KRUPA
In 1957, the extraordinary happened. A network tv program hosted by a world-famous pianist/singer had, as its only guests, Norman Granz and the entire JATP troupe, including Papa Jo Jones, Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Herb Ellis, Stan Getz, Coleman Hawkins, Flip Phillips, Illinois Jacquet and Roy Eldridge. The only filmed evidence of what JATP must have been like. Oh, yes, the host sings and plays a few as well. From March, 1966, we have for the first time the complete Mike Douglas Show that starred Patti Page, Howard Keel and the Gene Krupa Jazz Quartet. You have seen the Krupa clips before, but never the entire program.
